My testimony is to my Saviour Jesus Christ, to give Him all of the credit for the marvellous things He has done for me. I had a catalogue of mental and physical illness spreading over many years. I suffered with profound mental illness for over 40 years, taking a range of antipsychotic medication and psychotherapy sessions. Because of very bad anxiety attacks I had become agoraphobic and was assigned a support worker to encourage me to go out, even if it was just to the local shops. I always had faith, but something was missing. I was a Slave to Fear…
A dear old friend Paul, visited me often, he talked to me about Jesus and taught me how to pray. We prayed together and regularly still do. On one of his visits, I mentioned I had limited mobility in my elbow following an operation. Paul prayed for me and God healed it, I have full use of it, no pain. Thank you Jesus.
That was only the start, the best was yet to come. Full of apprehension I went to Fiskerton Chapel. Firstly, I had to go out; secondly, I believed in God but did not go to church. I had been introduced to Jesus, Paul told me I had a hotline to God through Jesus, surely that was enough? I soon found out – there was much more for me. At Fiskerton I felt the Holy Spirit – I was enthralled and had a great desire to be a part of this. I needed to receive Jesus as my Saviour, receive the Holy Spirit and the spiritual gifts that go with Him. I knew I needed this, I surrendered wholly to Him and I was born again. My life has been transformed and it feels awesome. Miracles and signs are happening constantly, with me and around me.
I no longer have to take anti-psychotic medication; psychotherapy and my support workers are no longer needed. All that mental torture and anguish has gone. I cannot thank Jesus enough.
I had a balance problem, frequently falling, on one occasion I broke my ankle and fractured three toes. I had to walk with a stick for safety. Not any more, I am healed, thank you Lord. I had three eye operations all failed. I was scheduled for a fourth operation so I asked for prayer. This time it was successful.
I also had a longstanding back and hip problem. I was prayed for and Jesus took away the pain and discomfort, I have a full range of mobility and movement. A hernia on my tummy has also been healed. I have so much to be thankful for. I found what was missing, His name is Jesus.
The peace of mind, calmness and good health I now have means I can say “I Am Not the Man I Used to Be”. Thank you, Jesus. No more worries or concerns, no plan B. I handed them all to God. I have started speaking to people about what God has done for me and praying for them.
