The truth is in Jesus

But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard Him, and He has taught you, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:20-24).

The truth is in Jesus, He is the Truth. Therefore the truth is not in what we know but Who we know. You can learn Christ, but when you hear Him, hear the Word of God revealing Himself in you, your heart is changed. It is not about being persuaded, it is all in the renewing of our mind, so that we think like Christ, talk like Him, act like Him. If we have to stand and think ‘what would Jesus do’, we are still making the decisions, filtering God through our view of who He is. As God reveals Himself in us our view of Him changes because the Holy Spirit is refining our mind, our spirit and our view become clearer. Like the blind man at Bethsaida, Jesus spit on his eyes and prayed for him, he could then see men as trees walking but when Jesus put His hands on his eyes and prayed again his sight become clear. As God works in us our sight also becomes clearer. (Mark 8:24). We have to be determined to follow Christ, not to get sidetracked into religious practice, or some hot topic to swerve us from the path, but be Holy Spirit guided. Our conversation, our lifestyle, how we live, has to change, if the Holy Spirit is not guiding us, then satan will take the opportunity to take a foothold in our life again. See, the Holy Spirit will lead us into righteousness like a ship’s rudder steers it away from danger with the Master at the helm. The depth of our relationship with Jesus is directly linked to the level of our surrender. We cannot manufacture righteousness, we are made the righteousness of God in Christ through faith. And it is through faith in walking with Him, that we come to know Him, come to live in His resurrection power, know the fellowship of His suffering, being made comformable to His death, that we might come into His resurrection life. Forgetting our past, our guilt, for He has cleansed even that from us, that we might walk without compromise, without condemnation to the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3).

PLEASE PRAY for Fiskerton meetings, that the Lord’s presence, His Glory, the power of God for salvation, healing and deliverance, will so fill the house that no-one else but Him can minister. All power is given to the wonderful name of Jesus. Thank you, God bless you.
