He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath One that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak (John 12:48-50).
Jesus told us that His words are Spirit and they are life, that Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that proceeds from the Father. The truth will judge those that reject Jesus, His truth, His life will not be found in them. Jesus always directs us to the Father, as we should direct everyone to Jesus, our ministry is not our word but the words of Jesus we hear from the Holy Spirit. Words and works are closely linked for it is the Word that creates the works and the Holy Spirit that reveals them (John 14:10). It is a fundamental of God’s ministry through us that we are instructed and God sends us out. Whenever I speak to someone God has anointed and using, that hallmark is always there. There has always been instruction and always a sending out. It works then, doors open and the spiritual works happen, our striving is against unbelief and the opposition of satan. Our overcoming is in the blood of Jesus and through our testimony, the fulfilment of the promises of God. My words they are Spirit and they are life (John 6:63), so if we speak what we hear, surrender ourselves to God so that He can speak directly through us, then the rivers of the water of life will flow. If not it is of the flesh and there is no profit in it. If the words of life are rejected they accept death, for there is only life or death, to reject one is to accept the other. There is another matter to address here, there are those that will reject your words, but remember this, if God has said He will speak or act through you, they are not your words or actions but God’s. Please read today’s verses again, they do not reject us they reject Him that sent us.
